Don’t you ever wonder how it would feel to discover that we were actually meant to do something greater. That our mundane everyday existence was but a prelude to a defining moment that will change the lives of others? Somehow , I have the strange feeling that many people don’t ever pause to wonder, or ask themselves that question.
Do you remember the scene where Trinity finds Neo in the bar, and makes first contact. She said, “The answer is out there Neo. It’s looking for you and it will find you if you want it to.”
We are capable of achieving great things, if we are willing. If we want it to…
Dow Chemicals recently came out with a stunning tv ad.
We turn a page, we raise a hand.
And just then, in the flash of a synapse, we learn that life is elemental.
And this knowledge changes everything.
We look around and see the grandness of the scheme.
Sodium bonding with chlorine.
We see carbon binding with oxygen.
Hydrogen binding with oxygen.
We see life unfold.
And in the dazzling brilliance of this knowledge, we may overlook the element not listed on the chart.
Its importance so obvious it’s presence is simply understood.
The missing element is the human element.
The missing element is the human element.
And when we add it to the equation the chemistry changes.
Potassium looks to bond with potential.
Metals behave with hardened resolve.
And hydrogen and oxygen form desire.
It gives us our footing to stand fiercelessly and face the future.
It gives us a way of touching issues, ambitions, lives.
The human element: nothing is more fundamental, nothing more elemental.”
“The Human Element is the element of change” .
We are all capable of great things. We will never know what we are capable of if we do not believe in ourselves. We were meant for great things. That’s how we were created. That’s how we were made.

The Sufi poet, Rumi, wrote:
“You were born with potential.
You were born with goodness and trust.
You were born with ideals and dreams.
You were born with greatness.
You were born with wings.
You are not meant for crawling, so don’t.
You have wings.
Learn to use them and fly.”
Wonder. Realize. Believe. Have Faith. We are all meant for great things, if we are willing.
Let’s follow the examples of these ordinary individuals as they strive to make a difference. Each week, let’s all get together and share knowledge, stories, experiences, information, all for the sole purpose of getting One Step Up.
